Quiver Trees

I think I photographed hundreds (if not more) trees whilst in Namibia, so much so that it became a bit of a running joke..... but there were some cool trees, and they were much more impressive than any trees we have in Birmingham, and yes, there are a few trees in Birmingham!

Quiver trees are actually a species of aloe. The San people traditionally hollowed out the tubular branches to form quivers for their arrows. 

So here's a forest of quiver trees...........
